Camel Race: a 3D desert race for family and friends
Camel racing is part of Gulf heritage, and on Rayoosh it becomes a quick, cheerful race anyone can join. Up to four players line up on a 3D desert track, the countdown ends with Yalla!, and for the next minute or two it's all about steering, dodging and timing your Boost.
- 2–4 players
- 2+ min a match
- Free · no download
- Plays offline once installed
There are no cards to learn and no long rules. Children pick it up in one race, and grown-ups still want a rematch. It's a perfect warm-up before a long Tarneeb evening, or a fun way to settle who chooses the next game.
How to play Camel Race
- Join a race with 2, 3 or 4 players and wait for the 3-2-1 countdown.
- Your camel runs forward on its own. Hold left or right to steer, using the on-screen buttons or the arrow keys (A and D work too).
- Avoid the rocks. Hitting one makes your camel stumble and slow down for a moment.
- Pass close to a rock without touching it to add a little to your Boost meter.
- Fly through golden rings to fill the meter much faster.
- When the meter is full, tap Boost (or press Space) for a burst of speed.
- The first camel across the finish line wins, and every racer gets a place from 1st to 4th.
Camel Race rules at a glance
- Players: up to 4 (2, 3 or 4).
- Length: 1 race of about 1–2 minutes.
- Rocks: a hit means a short stumble, with slower steering too.
- Boost: lasts about two and a half seconds, and rocks can't trip you while it's on. You can't boost while stumbling.
- Drafting: riding just behind another camel gives a small speed bonus.
- Pearls by place: 20 for 1st, 10 for 2nd, 5 for 3rd and 2 for 4th.
- Fair racing: saddles and blankets change looks only, never speed.
Camel Race modes in Rayoosh
- Classic Race: steer, dodge rocks, earn your Boost.
- Length: 1 race, about 2 minutes.
- Players: 4, 2 or 3, with computer racers for any empty lane.
Tips to win Camel Race
- Look ahead, not at your camel. Rocks come in rows, and there is always a gap to aim for.
- Steer early and gently; late swerves are what cause most stumbles.
- Chase the golden rings. About three of them fill your Boost.
- Save Boost for a clear stretch, or use it to charge through a rocky patch, since rocks can't trip you while boosting.
- Tuck in behind the leader to draft, then pull out and boost past them near the finish.
Race with family and friends
Camel Race is made for mixed ages. Share the room link on WhatsApp, and grandchildren, parents and uncles can race from phones, computers or the living-room TV. A race takes less time than making tea, so there's always time for one more.
- Cheer with quick phrases like Yalla and Mashallah, or tease with a laughing emote.
- Send an animated gift to the winner.
- Talk on voice chat between races and pick the next game together.
- Practise against computer racers any time, even offline once Rayoosh is installed.
Questions and answers
How do you control the camel?
Hold left or right to steer, with the on-screen buttons or the arrow keys (A and D also work). When your Boost meter is full, tap Boost or press Space.
How do I fill the Boost meter?
Fly through golden rings, which fill it quickly, and pass close to rocks without touching them, which adds a little. About three rings fill the meter.
Can I buy a faster camel?
No. Saddles and blankets change how your camel looks, never how fast it runs. Speed comes from steering and timing.
How many players can race?
Up to four. With fewer friends online, computer racers can fill the empty lanes.
Is Camel Race good for children?
Yes. It's simple to learn, a race lasts only a minute or two, and there is nothing to read during play. Rayoosh has no gambling of any kind.
