Bint al Sbeet means “the queen of spades”, and that is the card everyone at the table fears. A Levant cousin of Hearts and Leekha, it is played every player for themselves: pass three cards, avoid the Q♠, the 10♦ and the hearts, and keep your score as low as you can. Bold players double the queen by showing it, or call minus and promise to take no trick at all.

How to play Bint al Sbeet
- Four players, each for themselves, 13 cards each from a 52-card deck. Aces are high, and play goes counter-clockwise: the next player is on your right.
- Pass 3 cards. Everyone picks at the same time and the cards change hands together: to the left in the first deal, to the right in the next, and so on.
- Declare: whoever holds the Q♠ or the 10♦ may show it to double it, and anyone may call minus, a promise to take no trick. All choices are revealed together.
- The player on the dealer's right leads the first trick with any card. Hearts can be led at any time.
- Follow the led suit if you can; if you can't, play any card you like. There is no trump: the highest card of the led suit takes the trick.
- After 13 tricks, everyone counts the penalty cards they took and the result of any minus.
- When a player reaches the target, the match ends and the lowest total wins.
Bint al Sbeet scoring
- Every heart: 1 point. The Q♠: 13. The 10♦: 10.
- Doubled by showing: the Q♠ costs 26 and the 10♦ costs 20. With both doubled, every heart counts 2.
- No tricks at all: −10 points.
- Minus made (called, and no trick taken): −20 points.
- Minus failed: your own penalty points for the deal count double.
- No forced discard: unlike Leekha, when you can't follow suit you may play any card and keep the queen for later.

Tips to win at Bint al Sbeet
- Pass the Q♠ when you have few low spades, along with the A♠ or K♠ that could catch it.
- Empty a suit: once you are void, you can drop the Q♠ or the 10♦ on someone else's trick.
- Show the Q♠ only with plenty of low spades or a void elsewhere, so it rarely comes back to you.
- Call minus only with low cards in every suit: one forced trick doubles your points.
- If a rival called minus, don't overtake their card: let them win the trick and their minus fails.
- Duck with the highest card that still loses, and lead low spades to smoke out the queen.

Questions and answers
Is Bint al Sbeet on Rayoosh free? Is there real money?
It is completely free, with no real money and no betting. You earn Pearls by playing, and Pearls can never be bought or cashed out.
What does Bint al Sbeet mean?
It means the queen of spades, the 13-point card at the heart of the game. Taking her hurts, and taking her after she was doubled hurts twice as much.
What is minus in Bint al Sbeet?
Before the first trick, any player may call minus, a promise to take no trick. Keep it and you score −20; take even one trick and your penalty points count double. A player who takes no trick without calling still scores −10.
How is Bint al Sbeet different from Leekha?
Both are about avoiding hearts, the Q♠ and the 10♦. Bint al Sbeet is always every player for themselves, has no Leekha rule (you never have to give up the Q♠ or the 10♦), always allows doubling, and adds minus. The first pass goes to the left.
Who wins a game of Bint al Sbeet?
When someone reaches the target, 101 in Quick or 151 in Full, the match ends and the lowest total wins. A tie for first plays another deal.
Can I play Bint al Sbeet on my own?
Yes. Computer players take the empty seats, and you can practise against them any time.
