How to play Trix Complex
- Four players, 13 cards each from a 52-card deck. Aces are high, and play passes to the right.
- Whoever holds the 7♥ in the first deal owns the first kingdom. The next kingdoms pass to the right, so everyone owns one.
- The owner looks at the hand and picks Complex or Trix. The other one is played on the next deal, so every kingdom has both.
- In Complex the owner leads. Follow the led suit if you can; if you can't, play any card. There is no trump.
- The highest card of the led suit takes the trick, and its winner leads the next. Complex always plays all 13 tricks.
- Before the first lead of Complex, a player holding the K♥ or a queen may double it by showing it.
- In Trix, the owner starts and everyone lays cards in rows that grow from the jacks. Race to empty your hand.
- After 4 kingdoms and 8 deals, the highest total wins.
Complex and Trix scoring
- Each trick you take: −15.
- The K♥: −75.
- Each queen: −25.
- Each diamond: −10. The Q♦ counts as a queen and as a diamond, so it costs −35.
- A Complex deal always shares out −500 before doubles.
- A doubled K♥ or queen costs its taker double (−150 or −50). If an opponent takes it, the player who doubled gains +75 or +25. The diamond part of the Q♦ is never doubled.
- Trix: first out +200, second +150, third +100, last +50. So every kingdom adds up to 0 before doubles.

- One standard game: 4 kingdoms, 8 deals, about 15 minutes.
- Pearls by finishing place: 60, 25, 8 and 3.
- 20 seconds to choose or play, 10 seconds to double. If time runs out, the computer moves for you and never doubles.
- Works on phones, tablets, computers and TVs with a remote, in Arabic, English and Hindi.
Tips to win at Trix Complex
- In Complex every trick costs −15 even with no penalty cards in it, so plan to take as few tricks as you can.
- Choose Complex with low cards and short suits; keep Trix for a hand full of jacks and middle cards.
- Double the K♥ or a queen only when you can shed it safely: long cards in its suit, or a short suit elsewhere.
- When you are void, throw the K♥ first, then queens, then high diamonds.
- Duck with the highest card that still loses, and lead short suits early to make voids.
- In Trix, hold the card that blocks other players' long runs, and open the runs that are mostly yours.

What is Complex in Trix?
Complex is one deal with all the trick penalties together: −15 per trick, −75 for the K♥, −25 per queen and −10 per diamond. All 13 tricks are played, and the deal totals −500 before doubles.
How is Trix Complex different from Trix?
