Play Egyptian Tarneeb online with friends, free
Egyptian Tarneeb is Tarneeb the way it is played in Egypt: four players in two teams, partners sitting opposite, and an auction where every bid names a suit as well as a number. You can bid Sans, with no trump at all, the other team can Double your contract, and two checks at the deal, Dakk and Out of call, change who may bid and from where. The result is a longer, livelier auction than in the Tarneeb you may know from the Levant.

How to play Egyptian Tarneeb
- Four players in two teams of two. Partners sit opposite and win or lose together.
- Each player gets 13 cards from a 52-card deck, aces high. The deal moves one seat every hand.
- Before the auction, any Dakk or Out of call hand is announced to the table (see below).
- The player after the dealer bids first. A bid is a level from 1 to 7 plus a suit or Sans: level 1 means 7 tricks for your team, level 7 means all 13.
- Each bid must outrank the last: a higher level, or the same level in a higher suit. Suits rank Sans, then ♠, ♥, ♦ and ♣.
- Passing doesn't take you out: you can bid again on your next turn. The auction ends when three players in a row pass after the last bid. If all four pass with no bid, the cards are dealt again.
- The highest bid's suit is trump (Sans means no trump), and the player who made it leads the first trick. Follow suit if you can; if not, play any card.
- The highest trump wins the trick, or else the highest card of the suit led. All 13 tricks are played, then the hand is scored.
Double, Dakk and scoring at a glance
- Double: a player on the team facing the current high bid may say Double instead of passing. If that bid becomes the contract, every point of the hand counts twice. A higher bid cancels it, and there is no redouble.
- Dakk: a hand with 4 honour points or fewer (ace 4, king 3, queen 2, jack 1). That team may bid only from level 2 (8 tricks), and the other team only from level 5 (11 tricks). If both teams have a Dakk, both bid from 5.
- Out of call: a player with 9 or more cards of one suit may not bid or Double that hand. Their partner still can.
- Contract made: the declaring team scores the tricks it took, and the defenders score nothing.
- Contract failed: the declaring team loses the contract (bid level 3, which is 9 tricks, and take 8: minus 9), and the defenders score the tricks they took.
- All 13 tricks: 16 points, or 26 for a team that bid level 7 and made it. A failed level-7 bid costs 16, and defenders who take all 13 score 16.
- Target: 31 points in Quick, 41 in Full. You must reach it while ahead; a tie plays on. Scores can go below zero.

Tips to win at Egyptian Tarneeb
- Count honours and length before you bid. Level 1 already means 7 tricks for your team, and a partner usually brings two or three.
- Bid Sans when you hold aces and kings in most suits and a long suit headed by the ace or king. With one long, strong suit, name that suit instead.
- Support your partner. If they bid a suit and you hold three or more cards of it, or an honour, your team is stronger than either hand alone.
- Double only when your team can clearly beat the contract. If the contract is made anyway, the declarers' score doubles too.
- With a Dakk hand, don't fight the auction. A fresh deal is often the best result for your team.
- In Sans there is no trump to stop a long suit, so hold up the suit your rivals want and cash your own long suit once it is set up.

Questions and answers
Is Egyptian Tarneeb on Rayoosh free? Is there real money?
It is completely free, with no real money and no betting. Pearls are earned by finishing place and can never be bought or cashed out.
How is Egyptian Tarneeb different from Tarneeb?
In Egyptian Tarneeb every bid names a suit or Sans, so the auction itself sets trump. It adds Double, the Dakk and Out of call checks, and bonuses for taking all 13 tricks, and the defenders score nothing when the contract is made.
What does Sans mean?
Sans is a bid with no trump. It ranks above every suit at the same level, and in a Sans hand the highest card of the suit led always wins the trick.
What is Dakk in Egyptian Tarneeb?
Dakk is a very weak hand: 4 honour points or fewer, counting ace 4, king 3, queen 2 and jack 1. Rayoosh spots it at the deal and tells the table. That team can bid only from level 2 and the other team only from level 5, or 6 in the Dakk from 6 mode, so a hopeless hand is often thrown in and dealt again.
How many players do I need?
Four, in two teams of two. If you are fewer, computer players take the empty seats.
What happens if we are doubled and fail?
Every number in the hand counts twice. Bid level 3 (9 tricks), get doubled and take 8, and your team loses 18 while the defenders score 10.
