Leekha is the Levant's own cousin of Hearts, a favourite of long evenings in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Palestine. Four players pass three cards, then try not to take the queen of spades, the ten of diamonds or any heart. Every penalty card you take counts against you, and the lowest score wins.

How to play Leekha
- Four players, 13 cards each from a 52-card deck. Aces are high, and play goes counter-clockwise: the next player is on your right.
- Pass 3 cards. Everyone picks at the same time and the cards change hands together: to the right in the first deal, to the left in the next, and so on. In 2 vs 2 you always pass to an opponent.
- The player on the dealer's right leads the first trick with any card. Hearts can be led at any time.
- Follow the led suit if you can. There is no trump: the highest card of the led suit takes the trick, and its winner leads the next one.
- The Leekha rule: if you can't follow suit and you hold the Q♠ or the 10♦, you must play one of them. Hearts are never forced.
- After 13 tricks, everyone counts the penalty cards they took.
- The match ends when a player reaches 101. The lowest score wins.
Leekha penalty cards and doubles
- Every heart: 1 point.
- Queen of spades (Q♠): 13 points.
- Ten of diamonds (10♦): 10 points. That makes 36 points in every deal.
- Doubles mode: after the pass, whoever holds the Q♠ or the 10♦ may show it to double it. A doubled Q♠ costs 26 and a doubled 10♦ costs 20.
- If both are doubled, every heart counts 2.
- In 2 vs 2, partners' scores are added, and the team with the lower total wins, whoever crossed 101.
Leekha in Rayoosh
- Players: 4, as 2 vs 2 partners sitting opposite each other (the default) or each for yourself.
- Modes: Classic, with the Leekha rule and no doubling, or Doubles, where you can show the Q♠ or the 10♦ to double it.
- Length: to 101, about 20 minutes. A tie for first plays another deal.
- Passing and doubling happen for everyone at once, and nobody sees a choice until all are in.
- Pearls by finishing place, up to 75 for a win.
- Works on phones, tablets, computers and TVs with a remote, in Arabic, English or Hindi.
Tips to win at Leekha
- Pass the danger: a Q♠ with few low spades, a bare 10♦, high hearts, and the A♠ or K♠ that could catch the queen.
- Empty a suit when you can. Once you are void, you can drop the Q♠ or the 10♦ on someone else's trick.
- Duck with the highest card that still loses. If you must win a trick, win it with your highest card that carries no points.
- Lead low spades or low diamonds to smoke out the Q♠ and the 10♦.
- With a partner, never throw points on a trick your partner is winning.
- In Doubles, show your card only with plenty of low cards in its suit, or a void elsewhere, so it rarely comes back to you.

Questions and answers
Is Leekha on Rayoosh free? Is there real money?
It is completely free, with no real money and no betting. You earn Pearls by playing, and Pearls can never be bought or cashed out.
What is the Leekha rule?
When you can't follow the led suit and you hold the Q♠ or the 10♦, you must play one of them; if you hold both, you choose. Hearts are never forced. Both Classic and Doubles use this rule.
Who wins a game of Leekha?
The match ends when someone reaches 101 points, and the lowest score wins. In 2 vs 2, partners' scores are added and the lower team total wins. A tie for first plays another deal.
How is Leekha different from Hearts?
Both are about avoiding hearts and the queen of spades. Leekha adds the 10♦ as a 10-point card, is played as 2 vs 2 partners as well as solo, and has the Leekha rule that makes you give up the Q♠ or the 10♦ when you can't follow suit. Hearts can be led at any time.
How many points are in a deal of Leekha?
36: 13 for the Q♠, 10 for the 10♦ and 1 for each of the 13 hearts. In Doubles mode a shown card counts twice, and with both doubled every heart counts 2.
Can I play Leekha on my own?
Yes. Computer players fill the empty seats, as partners or rivals, and you can practise against them any time.
