Play Minesweeper online: Solo or a Duel with friends
Minesweeper is the classic logic puzzle: open every safe cell on the board without touching a mine. Each number tells you how many of its eight neighbours hide a mine, so with a little thinking you always know where it is safe to tap. On Rayoosh every board can be cleared by logic alone, with no guessing, and you have three lives, so one slip doesn’t end your game.

Rayoosh Minesweeper is free, with no money and no betting. Relax with a Solo board, try the Daily board that everyone gets today, or race friends on the same mines in a five-minute Duel for 2 to 4 players. Pearls are earned by finishing place and can never be bought or cashed out. Rayan’s short How to play lesson covers numbers, flags, quick opening and lives.
How to play Minesweeper
- The board is a grid of hidden cells. Some hide mines; the rest are safe.
- You start with an area already open, the same one as everyone else. It scores nothing.
- Every open cell shows a number: how many of its 8 neighbours hide a mine. An empty cell has no mines around it and opens all its neighbours at once.
- Tap a hidden cell to open it. Each safe cell is worth +10 points.
- Long-press a cell, switch to Flag or right-click to put a flag on a mine you have found.
- When a number has as many flags around it as it shows, tap the number to open all its other neighbours at once. A wrong flag means a mine opens.
- Opening a mine costs a life and 100 points, and play goes on. With no lives left your board stops and your score stays.
- Open every safe cell to clear the board and earn +100 for each life you still have.
Minesweeper scoring at a glance
- +10 for each safe cell you open, including every cell an empty area opens for you.
- −100 for each mine you hit. Your score can go below zero.
- +100 for each life left when you clear the board.
- Flags score nothing; they help you open cells quickly.
- Duel: the highest score wins. Ties go to the player who cleared the board, then the one who finished first, then more lives left.
- Daily board: cleared boards come first, with the fewest mines hit and then the fastest time; then the most cells opened.
Minesweeper modes in Rayoosh
- Classic: 10 × 25 cells with 40 mines, the default board.
- Easy: 10 × 16 with 20 mines, for a relaxed game. Hard: 10 × 25 with 50 mines, for experts.
- Every board is no-guess: from the opening area you can always find a safe move by logic alone.
- Solo: no clock, play at your own pace. Duel: 2 to 4 players on the same mines at the same time, with 5 minutes on the clock. Each player has their own board, so nobody can get in your way.
- Daily board: the same board for everyone each day (UAE time), played Solo. Only your first try goes on the day’s ranking.
- Pearls by finishing place in a Duel: 30, 12, 5 and 2; Solo games pay a smaller share. Never bought, never cashed out.
Tips to win at Minesweeper
- Start from the edges of the open area: that is where the numbers give you answers.
- A 1 that touches only one hidden cell means that cell is a mine.
- When all the mines around a number are found, every other hidden neighbour is safe.
- Flag the mines around a number, then tap the number to open the rest in one go. Make sure the flags are right first.
- In a Duel speed counts, but each mine costs 100 points: a careful player often beats a fast one.
- Boards are no-guess, so if you seem stuck, look again: there is always a safe cell somewhere.

Questions and answers
Is Minesweeper on Rayoosh free? Is there real money?
It is completely free, with no real money and no betting. You earn Pearls by finishing place, and Pearls can never be bought or cashed out.
Will I ever have to guess?
No. Every board on Rayoosh is checked in advance so that it can be cleared by logic alone, starting from the opening area.
What happens if I open a mine?
You lose a life and 100 points, and the game goes on. You have three lives; when they run out your board stops and your score is kept.
How does a Minesweeper Duel work?
2 to 4 players get the same mines at the same time, each on their own board, with 5 minutes on the clock. The highest score wins, so clearing the board with lives to spare is the best result.
What is the Daily board?
Every day everyone gets the same Solo board. Your first try goes on the day’s ranking; later tries are practice. A new board comes at midnight, UAE time.
How do I flag a mine on a phone?
Long-press the cell, or switch the Open / Flag button to Flag and tap. On a computer you can right-click, and with a TV remote or keyboard press F or Space.
