Play Concan online with friends, free
Concan is the rummy of long Gulf and Levant evenings: two decks and two jokers, 14 cards each, and a race to lay sets and runs and empty your hand. You open with at least 51 points, the lowest total after the last round wins, and one dream finish, the Concan, can take the whole match in a single move.

How to play Concan
- 106 cards: two full decks plus two printed jokers. Everyone gets 14 cards, and the player after the dealer gets 15 and starts by discarding.
- On your turn, draw the top card of the stock or the top open card, then discard one card.
- Sets are 3 or 4 cards of one rank in different suits. Runs are 3 or more cards of one suit in a row; the ace can be low or high.
- A joker can stand in for any card, but every meld needs at least two real cards.
- Your first lay-down in a round must be worth 51 or more in one go (71 in Concan 71). Picture cards count 10 and the ace 11.
- Take the open card only if you use it right away, in your opening, a new meld or a lay-off.
- Once you are down, add cards to any meld on the table, or swap the real card for a joker in a meld.
- The round ends as soon as a player has no cards left. After the last round, the lowest total wins.
Concan scoring and the Concan finish
- The player who goes out scores −30.
- Players who are down score the cards left in their hand: 2–10 their number, J, Q and K 10, ace 11, joker 15.
- A player who never went down scores 100.
- A Hand, going out in one turn without having been down, doubles every score of the round: −60 for the winner, 200 for anyone never down.
- A Concan is 14 cards laid at once as two melds: a run of 10 plus a set of 4, or a run of 11 plus a set of 3. Jokers may help.
- In earlier rounds a Concan scores like a Hand. In the last round, laying a Concan wins the match outright, whatever the totals.
- In the last round you may also announce that you are going for a Concan. The table sees it, and you may then take the open card freely but can only lay the full Concan.

Tips to win at Concan
- Plan your opening early: high cards in sets and runs reach 51 fastest, and the jokers help fill the gaps.
- Don't take the open card on a whim: you must use it at once, so be sure it completes your meld.
- Once a rival is down, cut your losses: lay off what you can, so fewer points stay in your hand.
- Throw high cards that fit nothing before low ones, and keep jokers for the end: a joker left in hand costs 15.
- A Hand doubles the whole round. With a strong hand, consider waiting to go out in one turn.
- In the last round, if you are far behind on totals, a Concan is your way back: watch for a long run in one suit.

Questions and answers
Is Concan on Rayoosh free? Is there real money?
It is completely free, with no real money and no betting. You earn Pearls by finishing place, and Pearls can never be bought or cashed out.
What is a Concan?
Fourteen cards laid down at once as exactly two melds: a run of 10 plus a set of 4, or a run of 11 plus a set of 3. In the last round it wins the whole match; in earlier rounds it scores like a Hand.
What is the difference between Concan 51 and Concan 71?
Only the opening. In Concan 51 your first lay-down of a round must be worth 51 or more; in Concan 71 it must be worth 71. Everything else is the same.
When can I take the open card?
Only when you use it straight away, in your opening, a new meld or a lay-off. A player who has announced a Concan in the last round may take it freely.
How is Concan different from Hand?
Both use two decks, two jokers and an opening of 51. Concan plays a fixed number of rounds, adds the open-card rule and the joker swap, and has the Concan finish that can win the match in the last round.
Can I play Concan 2 vs 2?
Yes. Partners sit opposite each other and their points are added together. When one partner goes out, the team scores −30 and the partner's cards are not counted.
